Hey nils,

I’m afraid that I’m finding it hard enough to update this site with regards to food let alone philosophy!

Barry Smith is giving a talk on the philosophy of wine on Thursday which is followed by a wine tasting! That is the sort of philosophy that I would like to be a purveyor of..

Hi Kalbir,

just saw your food and philosophy webpage! Excellent. But were’s the philosophy?

Incidentally, Tim Crane has written a few nice papers on wine and winedrinking. See his webpage.

I’m always more for the drink than the food …. !

I was not intentionally quiet about my meal; I was merely too busy eating/ slurping to talk. I did indeed have a noodle soup. I have to be honest and say that it was not great. It was a little too bland and cold for my liking. I am a big fan of udon noodles but the other contents of the soup were a somewhat disappointing. There were not enough vegetables or bean curd. I agree with Kalbir that this is a good place to go for ‘Japanese kebabs’ but for other, far better Japanese food I would go to Asa Kusa, or even Wagamama’s.

I forgot that we actually considered Petrus and Gordon Ramsey together and the 9th on the list was Le Gavroche. We rejected it through being quite expensive I think!
